Fee Exemptions are tuition/fee waivers based on University Policy or State Law.

Veteran Affairs Fee Exemption
Provides an exemption for children, spouses, and surviving spouses of veterans killed in action or died in active service.  Must submit fee exemption certificate from the State of Louisiana.

National Guard
Provides a tuition exemption to eligible National Guard members.

Senior Citizen
Provides an exemption of eligible fees for persons 60 years of age or older at the time of registration.  This exemption is limited to 3 credit hours.

Policemen Dependent Exemption
Provides an exemption for children of police officers, deputy sheriffs, or certain probation and parole officers killed or permanently disabled in performance of duties. 
The Police Officer Dependent Exemption Form must be completed.

Police Officer Exemption
Provides a fee exemption up to $406.00 for law enforcement officers to pursue a degree in criminal justice.
The Police Officer Exemption Form must be completed.

Firemen Dependent Exemption
Provides an exemption for children of firefighters killed or disabled in performance of duties.
The Firefighter Dependent Exemption Form must be completed.

Fort Polk Fee Exemption
Provides an exemption for active duty military, their spouses and children.  Must present Military ID.

NSU COOP High School
Provides an exemption to high school students enrolled in the early start program.

NSU COOP Program
Provides an exemption to student who participate in the NSU COOP program.

Out of State
Provides an exemption of out of state fees for qualifying students:

            Entering freshman 
            Transfer 
            Performance
            Texas border

Faculty/Staff Exemption
Provides an exemption to faculty or staff members who are employed full-time at a University of Louisiana System institution or System Office.  The Faculty/Staff Exemption Form must be completed each semester.

Faculty/Staff Dependent Exemption
Provides an exemption to dependents of faculty or staff members who are employed full-time at a University of Louisiana System institution or System Office.  Limited to Undergraduate study and students who are claimed by parent on tax return.  
The Faculty/Staff Exemption Form must be completed each semester.
